BIGOGWE: PRIME MINISTER JOINS RESIDENTS TO CELEBRATE LIBERATION DAY, INAUGURATES 30 HOMES FOR VULNERABLE FAMILIES

Prime Minister Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva joined residents of Bigogwe Sector in Nyabihu District to celebrate the 32nd Liberation Day anniversary, alongside several senior government officials, including the Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, the Inspector General of the Rwanda National Police, the Governor of the Western Province, senior Rwanda Defence Force and Police commanders in the province, the Mayor of Nyabihu District, and other dignitaries.

The celebrations were held in Kijote Cell and began with the inauguration of 15 two-in-one housing units, providing homes for 30 vulnerable families in Bikingi Village. The houses were built through a joint effort by the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), the Rwanda National Police (RNP), and local residents.

The project cost Rwf 45 million and was completed in three months, following the launch of construction on March 9, 2026.

In his address, Prime Minister Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva emphasized that the strong partnership between the RDF, the Rwanda National Police, and citizens played a crucial role in Rwanda's Liberation journey. He urged residents to continue safeguarding peace and security, protect the country's achievements, support government development programs, embrace hard work, improve their livelihoods, ensure every child attends school, and enroll in community-based health insurance.

He concluded by reminding participants that Rwanda's journey of liberation is an ongoing process, calling on every Rwandan to continue contributing to the country's development and the well-being of its people.
