EXPANDED DISTRICT SECURITY MEETING FOCUSES ON SECURITY AND CITIZENS’ WELFARE
Today, the Expanded District Security Council Meeting was held under the leadership of the Mayor of the District, Mrs. MUKANDAYISENGA Antoinette, to assess the security situation and discuss measures to further promote the welfare of citizens.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the overall security situation, with particular attention to the issue of substandard and illicit alcoholic beverages and measures to prevent their production, distribution and consumption. Discussions also focused on the mechanisms for addressing citizens’ concerns, with emphasis on improving the use of the MBAZA system to ensure that reported issues are properly followed up and addressed efficiently and in a timely manner.
The meeting also discussed preparations for the reopening of schools, hygiene and sanitation, disaster preparedness and response measures, as well as Community-Based Health Insurance (MUSA), particularly the payment of health insurance contributions. Participants also reviewed the delivery of land-related services to citizens.
Participants were urged to strengthen collaboration and expedite service delivery, particularly land-related services, while ensuring that citizens’ concerns are addressed promptly, fairly and sustainably.
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of coordinated efforts among all relevant institutions in maintaining security, promoting citizens’ welfare and ensuring the timely delivery of quality public services.
