JENDA SECTOR HOLDS DISCUSSIONS TO LAUNCH THE MONTH DEDICATED TO UNITY AND RESILIENCE

On 1st October 2026, the Mayor of the District, Ms. MUKANDAYISENGA Antoinette, together with security organs, joined residents of Bukinanyana Cell, Jenda Sector, to launch the Month Dedicated to National Unity and Resilience at the District level under the theme: “Learning from Our History to Strengthen Our Unity.”

Participants discussed the progress made in promoting national unity and resilience through initiatives such as Itorero, Ndi Umunyarwanda, preservation of history, savings groups, cooperatives and associations.

They also discussed challenges affecting unity, including genocide ideology, misuse of social media, family conflicts, illicit alcohol consumption and drug abuse.

In her closing remarks, the District Mayor called on residents to actively participate in activities throughout the month and to promote unity and resilience within their families and communities. She also urged them to safeguard the achievements made in promoting unity and reconciliation among Rwandans.
