NYABIHU:YOUTH VOLUNTEERS COMMIT TO INCREASING THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO THE DISTRICT’S DEVELOPMENT

More than 120 representatives of youth volunteers from Nyabihu District held a meeting with various leaders, including the Police, the Deputy Mayor in charge of Social Affairs, Mr. SIMPENZWE Pascal, the Director General of Youth Volunteers, and others. The expanded meeting aimed to discuss strategies for preventing and completely eliminating substandard alcoholic beverages, as well as promoting youth development and the development of the country in general.

Participants also discussed the role of volunteers in maintaining security, particularly the importance of providing timely information, and strengthening cooperation with local authorities so that youth activities can achieve greater impact.

During the discussions, it was emphasized that young people should continue to be catalysts for positive change in their communities and play a role in addressing challenges that hinder social welfare and the development of the District. Leaders stressed that cooperation between volunteers and local authorities should continue to be strengthened.

In closing, the Deputy Mayor in charge of Social Affairs,said: “It is disappointing to see good things being achieved without having played any role in them despite being present.” He urged young people to continue taking an active role in activities that contribute to the development of citizens and the country.
