RUGERA SECTOR AWARDED TROPHY FOR OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY-BASED HEALTH INSURANCE PERFORMANCE
On 12 August 2026, residents of Rugera Sector were awarded a trophy for outstanding performance in contributing to the Community-Based Health Insurance Scheme (MUSA) during the 2025–2026 financial year, after ranking first among the 12 sectors of the District.
The event was presided over by the Deputy Mayor in charge of Social Affairs, Mr. Simpenzwe Pascal. Messages delivered during the event encouraged residents to refrain from consuming substandard alcoholic beverages, while young people were urged to use financial institutions and take advantage of available opportunities to improve their livelihoods.
The Deputy Mayor in charge of Social Affairs commended Rugera Sector for its achievement and urged its residents and leaders to maintain their performance. He also reminded the participants that the trophy is permanently awarded to a sector that ranks first for three consecutive years.
The award ceremony for other top-performing sectors will continue next week in Kabatwa and Shyira sectors, according to the District official responsible for Community-Based Health Insurance.
